For a long time there has been a call for the Fitness Industry to have a Union, amongst stagnant wages, EBAs that have not been negotiated for many years and often unfair work terms. The Fitness Industry's Union, The United Workers Union, was formed late 2019 via the merger of The National Union of Workers and United Voice.

By joining your Union, it gives you the assurance of support should you experience any unfair treatment in your workplace, while allowing UWU to work towards better conditions for the industry. It also allows you to call and ask for accurate information and advice when needed, as well as a range of other benefits.
